Petra Labs now supporting Instinct and Muse

Petra Labs now tracks brand visibility inside Instinct and Muse, two personal agents that shop on their users' behalf.

Meta launched Muse on September 8, inside WhatsApp and as its own app. Instinct works over text message, and it's still invite-only. Both can find products and complete the purchase for the shopper.

Salesforce projects that AI agents will account for 20% of ecommerce traffic this holiday season. Part of that is a person asking ChatGPT for gift ideas. Another part is an agent like Muse picking a short list before the shopper ever sees a product page.

As AI agents take on more of the shopping journey, a new challenge is emerging for brands: understanding whether they're being recommended in the first place.

Until now, brands have had very little (or no) visibility into this.

What we built

We now run the prompts we track for our brands through Instinct and Muse, next to ChatGPT, Gemini and the other engines we already cover. You can see:

  • Whether Instinct and Muse recommend your products.

  • Which competitors the agents recommend instead.

  • How your visibility compares across personal agents and traditional AI search engines.

  • Most importantly, what it takes to get your brand recommended more often by these agents.

See where you stand before Black Friday

If you'd like to see how your brand shows up in both agents, reply to this email or reach out to the Petra Labs team here. We're taking on a limited number of brands before Black Friday.

Have you used Muse or Instinct to buy something yet?
